Abstract

The article presents an analytical material containing joint scientific research of the head Siberian Research and Design and Technological Institute of Animal Husbandry and regional scientific institutions of Siberia, devoted to the problems of increasing the production of animal products for 93 years. Experiments were carried out in several directions: feed production and preparation, feeding of farm animals, breeding of dairy and beef cattle, small animals, pigs and poultry. The base of research work was the laboratories of institutes, fields and farms of breeding farms and enterprises. A total of 1 breed and 4 types of dairy cattle, 5 types of beef cattle, 3 breeds and 3 types of pigs, 3 breeds and 1 type of sheep, 2 breeds of fish were created. In the same period, technologies for the production of milk, beef, pork, sheep products, fish were developed, which included more than 100 projects, 35 technical innovations detailed feeding standards, 3 feed preparation technologies. The stated scientific developments ensured a significant increase in the productivity of farm animals, a yield of over 6 thousand kg per cow, an increase in young fattening in the best enterprises of 900–1000 g per day. Against the background of such indicators, the lagging of the feed production industry has become noticeable. The materials of the article contain promising directions in this area, the implementation of which will make it possible to more fully realize the productive potential of improved masses of beef and dairy cattle
