Abstract
The issues of environmental and economic efficiency of using early spring green manure - white mustard - as green fertilizers are considered, which helps replenish the organic matter of irrigated arable land in the northern ordinary gray soils of the Chui Valley, introduces plant diversity into the structure of sown areas, helps solve environmental issues, improve the nutritional regime of the soil, and increase potato productivity when cultivating potatoes in repeated crops. The growth of the planet's population and, as a consequence, the decrease in the share of land per person, economic development dictate the objective need to increase soil fertility, increasing agricultural yields in order to ensure food security of the state. The use of early spring green manure as a green fertilizer is very important not only from the point of view of accumulating a large amount of phytomass, but also taking into account the biological characteristics, techniques, timing of cultivation and harvesting of white mustard
