Abstract
As a result of significant water losses for filtration from existing irrigation canals, Aravan district is experiencing a shortage of irrigation water. In addition, insufficient moisture leads to increased salinization of irrigated areas. In order to increase the water supply of the district, it is proposed to use the Aravan-Akburinsky canal, increasing its efficiency and using a machine water intake for the Ken-Sai residential area. According to the materials of scientific research, the Aravan district is located mainly in the foothill and plain zone, which offers, with optimal water availability, an increase in irrigated land for water distribution of agricultural crops. Calculations of water consumption of areas and dry runoff over the vegetation period showed the possibility of ensuring water, food and environmental safety of the area. The concrete lining of a part of the Aravan-Akburinsky canal will significantly increase the capacity, and the use of a pumping station to supply water to the Ken-Sai residential area will additionally moisten new irrigation areas
