Abstract
In Caspian region of Russia, blood parasitic diseases are one of the most common diseases, that cause significant economic damage to livestock farms due to reduced productivity and death of animals. Due to the natural and climatic conditions and zonal features of Dagestan Republic, it is a favorable environment for the habitat of ixodid ticks, the main specific carriers of piroplasmosis pathogens, in particular, Theileria annulata. In spring, cattle with impaired resistance, weakened after wintering, become seriously ill with piroplasmosis, especially theileriosis; after recovery from the disease, chewing cud, rumination, intestinal function, milk yield, and general reaction to the environment are impaired; it takes a long time to recover to physiological norms. Further improvement of existing methods and the search new methods that ensure maximum preservation of animals from invasions with minimal expenditure of effort and resources, remains an urgent task. In this regard, a comparative study of the effectiveness of the antimolarial drug- delagil in combination with oxytron was carried out. For the experiment, 20 heads were selected, on different stages of natural disease. In the control group (n=10), delagil was used in its pure form at a dose 25 mg/kg, orally, with water, in the form of a suspension, the effectiveness was 80.0%. In the experimental group (n=10), treatment was carried out comprehensively, delagil in the indicated doses, in combination with oxytron-200, indose 1 ml/10 kg of live weight, once, intramuscularly, intervals 72 hours, the effectiveness was 90,0%. The use of the drug – delagil, in combination with oxytron, increases the effectiveness and avoids significant economic losses
