Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive study on the creation of an intensive type apple orchard, carried out at the educational and experimental farm of KNAU. The main qualitative indicators of the above-ground part of seedlings, on which the early fruiting and productivity of modern orchards depend, have been determined. The high efficiency of using the selection of rootstock material was noted. The article describes the results of research work in an intensive apple orchard. For certain ancient varieties of apple trees, the selection of rootstock was carried out according to the growth strength of the scion and the fertility of the soil. An analysis of the growth of ancient apple tree varieties with different combinations of rootstocks is given. The issues of tree size as a result of rootstock combination are considered. The article is devoted to the current problem of growing low-growing seedlings and planting an intensive orchard in the Chui Valley. Based on a study of the growth of seedlings, a conclusion is drawn about the best variety of apple trees with the best rootstock for a given variety
