Abstract
In duck production systems, the production of ducklings at one-day age is a determining factor for the production chain. The production of daily ducklings can be carried out by natural incubation with an incubating female or artificially in an incubator. With artificial incubation, fertility and hatchability are the most important indicators that need to be monitored, since they affect the arrival of ducklings on the farm. Many factors are related to fertilization and hatching, such as environmental conditions, production system, time of year, nutrition, management of the broodstock, egg storage time and egg cleaning before incubation
