Abstract
The article deals with the issues of cryopreservation of sperm of sheep of three breeds of meat direction, which are bred in sheep farms of Almaty and Zhambyl regions. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that under the conditions of this zone, the effectiveness of freezing in liquid nitrogen vapor is studied in various ways, such as–the Minitube freezing system; - in the form of granules with a volume of 0.1-0.2 ml on a fluoroplastic plate; - in a Dewar vessel in straws with a volume of 0.25 ml. and in a Dewar vessel MVE ET 20 in straws with a volume of 0.25 ml. The effect of the addition of biological buffers tris, bis-tris and the amino acid arginine in the sucrose-complexate medium is studied. In addition, when using these seeds, the task is to determine the fertilizing ability of frozen sperm after cervical and laparoscopic insemination. Based on the results obtained, to determine the economic efficiency of using the cryopreservation method in meat sheep breeding. The relevance and practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the results of the research will allow for more efficient and rational use of valuable highly productive sheep producers of meat breeds, receive more descendants from them and, thus, contribute to an increase in the production of lamb and mutton. The development of a reliable and economical method of cryopreservation of sheep sperm in a small Dewar vessel will allow harvesting sperm from valuable sheep in farm conditions. The developed methods and media for cryopreservation of sheep sperm can also be used to preserve the valuable gene pool of small and endangered domestic breeds and types of sheep
