Abstract
For small-seeded crops with seeds of irregular shape, drageeing is an important stage in pre-sowing preparation. In the process of drageeing, the seeds acquire the correct shape and their sowing is simplified, i.e. it becomes possible to more evenly distribute them in the soil in depth and horizontally. The cost of drained seeds is higher, but the positive effect is achieved by increasing the yield. The need to take into account the properties of the draining mixture and factors affecting the formation of the seed during draining forms the basis for the development of drainers. The article analyzes the main factors influencing the formation of the seed shell in the process of draining, which consist of a portion of seeds, the thickness of the film with adhesive ability and the thickness of the film preventing the adhesion of seeds. These factors are formulated by analytical dependencies that can be used in experimental studies to substantiate the design parameters and operating mode of seed draining equipment, in particular, they allow us to describe the dependence of the conditions of the rotation speed of the working organ of the drainer (drum) on the coefficient of seed wetting, etc.
