Abstract
The issues of teaching environmental disciplines at the agricultural university are considered in order to train highly qualified, competent and necessary specialists of the country's agro-industrial complex, who in the future will take care of the protection of the agro-ecosystem components in agricultural production using advanced environmental technologies. When teaching environmental disciplines, it is necessary to instill in students of the agricultural specialty environmental protection attitudes to topical problems of the state of the environment, including them in the system of personal values and part of moral convictions, i.e. to form environmental competence and a generally high level of environmental culture
