Abstract
The article describes the results of work on assessment of vegetation on Son-Kul summer pastures. The described area embraces a huge space of the Central Tien-Shan and is characterized by a very rugged relief, but with soft outlines of contours with a variety of vegetation cover. Comparative dynamics of vegetation cover is presented according to the results of field assessments of the current year and data of past years. Monitoring and assessment of environmental factors make it possible to predict in advance what changes in vegetation cover may occur as a result of intensive grazing and will help to prevent possible negative impacts on the composition, structure and productivity of pasture plant communities in a timely manner
