Abstract
This article analyzes the importance of cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan's agriculture as a foundational factor contributing to increased competitiveness and the sustainable development of rural regions. Cooperatives serve a dual purpose: they consolidate resources for economic growth and improve the social conditions of rural populations. Special emphasis is placed on the role of cooperation in addressing social integration, mitigating economic risks, and ensuring access to essential services in rural areas. State support, including subsidies, tax incentives, and educational programs for farmers, is considered an essential tool for strengthening the cooperative movement and the agricultural sector. Thus, cooperatives function not only as economic entities but also as social institutions that promote the sustainable development of rural communities
