Abstract
The article examines the general characteristics of the meat production industry in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), analyzes the number of farm animals, the production of livestock and poultry in live weight by farm category and individual species for the period from 2002 to 2022. It has been established that the region has a fairly high level of meat consumption, which is not provided by its own production. As a result of the study, the current situation of the industry and its prospects for further development are revealed
