Abstract
The results of studies conducted in 2016–2021 on improving old hayfields in the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia are presented. The aim of the research was to develop methods for improving long-term hayfields in the Ob forest-steppe region. A mixture of perennial legume grasses was sown, consisting of alfalfa (Siberian 8 variety), meadow clover (SibNIIK 10 variety), and sainfoin (SibNIIK 41 variety). The highest yield of green and dry biomass was obtained in the variant with radical improvement and row sowing of the perennial legume grass mixture. The yield of green biomass amounted to 12.09 t/ha, and that of dry biomass to 3.51 t/ha
