Abstract
The purpose of the work was to determine the traction resistance of working tools when cultivating fallow gray forest lands to a depth of 10 cm. Experiments were carried out with the PPM-2.5 machine, on which three racks equipped with moldboards with 370 mm paws were installed. To measure traction resistance, a dynamometer DEP/31D-50R-2 was used. It has been established that the resistance of the working tools when working on fallow land exceeds the resistance in working on the field by 2.4 ... 2.6 times due to the rupture of the sod, the strength of which reaches 1.8 N/cm2. Dumps increase the traction resistance of the working tools for the fallow by 4.8 – 8.7 %, and for the cultivated field by 11.6 – 14.0 %. The resistance of the machine to rolling on the fallow is from 10.8 to 13%, on the field up to 37% of the operation of the machine without dumps
