Abstract
The article examines strategic management in trade organizations, with a focus on their role in the green economy. She analyzes challenges and trends in this area, suggests ways to integrate environmental sustainability and social responsibility into retailers' business strategies, and provides examples of successful approaches. Ultimately, the article allows trading company leaders to better understand how to achieve more sustainable and responsible practices. It discusses how environmental standards can be used as a tool for regulating international trade to promote environmentally sustainable goods and services. Analysis of the impact of such measures on the development of green technologies and innovations, as well as on the creation of sustainable economic models.Countries can use environmental standards as a tool for regulating trade and can encourage or restrict the import and export of goods and services, depending on their environmental characteristics. This can contribute to the development of cleaner technologies and innovations and facilitate the transition to a more sustainable economic model. In conclusion, conclusions were drawn on how a «green» economy can contribute to strategic control over trade and the transition to sustainable development
