Abstract
The study was conducted because of growing spring wheat varieties in the conditions of the Talas Valley in 2023-2024. Data collection and statistical analysis have provided extensive information on the behavior of wheat varieties in the region. A comparative analysis of wheat varieties by yield and quality characteristics allowed us to identify the most effective and adapted crops for the Talas Valley. When choosing a wheat variety, it is necessary to pay attention to its agronomic properties: plant height, number of spikelets, maturation time and yield potential. The consumer characteristics of the grain, such as the weight of 1000 grains, protein and gluten content, play an important role in choosing a wheat variety. These indicators determine the value of products for the end user and their demand in the market. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that further research is needed in the field of breeding and adaptation of wheat varieties to changing climatic conditions. This will ensure stable and efficient products that meet the needs of the modern market and ensure the food security of the region
