Abstract
Based on the field visits of the Ichthyology and Hydrobiology Laboratory staff of the Institute of Biology under the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic to Lake Son-Kul in the period from 2021 to 2023 prepared a review of the status of whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus, Poljakov, 1874) and peled (Coregonus peled, Gmelin, 1789), acclimatized to the high-mountain Lake Son-Kul between the 60th and the 70th years of the last century. This paper provides the data on the quantitative composition of fish species in the lake, and the tributaries of the rivers of Lake Son-Kul. Also, given recommendations on the preservation of peled and whitefish on Lake Son-Kul
