Abstract
In the era of the formation of the digital economy, small and medium-sized businesses are assigned the role of a key tool for activating such a type of innovative activity as digitalization and digital transformation of the economy. The main goals of digitalization and digital transformation of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia are defined by the expert community as “an increase in the efficiency of managerial decision-making, an increase in the variability of processes depending on the needs and characteristics of the client (clientcentricity), a decrease in the number of employees involved in the process (i.e., chains of decision-making and creation cost). Digital technologies help to cope with the synchronization and analysis of a rapidly growing volume of data, becoming an assistant in operational decision-making, as well as a tool for generating real-time reporting
